Because it can be color-matched to the surrounding teeth, this is an ideal solution for front teeth in need of dental restoration.
Other restoration techniques such as inlays, crowns, bridges, veneers or dentures, known as indirect restorations, usually require a dental impression to be made of the prepared teeth so that the appropriate restoration can be fabricated to suit. Once crafted and put into place, they are usually fixed permanently to the teeth.
